MEASURED on 2026-08-08 on the 272 XML files: 64/272 (24 %) carry a name with a Greek letter ("β-cells"), 38/272 (14 %) an exponential notation ("6 × 10 9"), 17/272 (6 %) a subscripted constant ("Ki67", "LD 0") and 17/272 (6 %) a digit-hyphen-acronym name of the type "5-HT". Only 8/272 (3 %) keep the Unicode subscript/superscript characters (₂, ⁻): elsewhere the notation is already FLATTENED by transport, which is the very merge the line describes. Original observation 2026-08-08: Apperley, Humphrey & Levy, Br. J. Pharmac. 1976 (annex 79).
