Fault Atlas MEASURED on 2026-08-08 on the 272 XML files: 48/272 (18 %) carry a tagged <sub> chemical index, 2/272 (1 %) a multiple citation call in <sup> ("<sup>73,", "<sup>2–"), and 74/272 (27 %) already contain, IN FLAT TEXT, a word ending in a digit glued to a decimal number ("i6.2", "iid3.1"). A single article (1/272) shows the full collision in flat text ("S3.38-58"): in JATS the markup still separates the three kinds — THE COLLISION IS BORN AT RENDERING, and rendering is what the reader is given. Un seul article (1/272) montre la collision complète en texte plat (« S3.38-58 ») : en JATS le balisage sépare encore les trois natures — LA COLLISION NAÎT AU RENDU, et c'est le rendu qu'on donne au lecteur.
